I’m Sophia, a health nut, baking enthusiast, lover of yoga and all things green.
After years of sub optimal health and digestive issues I became more and more interested in health and nutrition. I eventually linked my health issues to diet and lifestyle and began to make drastic changes. I cut out dairy and gluten and began exploring alternatives for these foods. My symptoms improved greatly and I began to experience increased energy and vitality. I now follow a whole food and primarily plant based diet and I’m constantly working on new recipes based upon this ethos.
My passion for healthy eating and my thirst for knowledge led me to a Bachelor of Science in Nutrition at the University of Nottingham and I am now a qualified Nutritionist. I have also completed a diploma in Nutritional Therapy from the College of Naturopathic Medicine.
I find leading a healthy and holistic lifestyle enables me to feel optimal and to feel more connected with my body and others around me. I also like to know that I am doing everything possible to PREVENT disease.
I find tranquility and inner peace when I am in the kitchen – I suppose it’s what you might call ‘my happy place’. Cooking my favourite healthy dish or creating new recipes is my therapy in every sense of the word. Not only does the food I make nourish my body but the actual cooking and preparation of food is therapeutic and relaxing. Doing something that you love does wonders for the mind and soul.
Whether it be retail therapy, nutritional therapy or kitchen therapy, we all need a little self loving to function at our best.
I hope I might inspire you too to find therapy and joy through this website and creating my recipes by making healthy eating exciting and fun.
Here’s to glorious, nourishing, real food.
Lots of love and laughter,
